Who is answerable for this data
The controller of the personal data collected through this site is the workshop identified above, not the software provider. The workshop decides what data it asks for, what it is used for, and how long it is kept.
TallerIQ acts as processor: it handles that data only on the workshop's instructions and does not use it for its own purposes.
These legal texts are supplied by TallerIQ as a template. The workshop publishes them in its own name and remains answerable to the person whose data is processed and to the supervisory authority. If the template turns out to be wrong or to have fallen out of date, that does not move the workshop's responsibility onto TallerIQ, and it does not excuse TallerIQ from fixing it: neither party may hide behind this sentence to avoid doing what is theirs to do.
This document was originally drafted in Spanish. In the event of any discrepancy between this translation and the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who the controller is
The controller is the owner of this website, whose details appear above. They decide what the data you provide here is used for, and they are who to contact to exercise your rights.
TallerIQ provides the technical platform behind this site and the workshop's own systems. It acts as a processor: it handles this data only on the workshop's instructions and under a processing agreement.
2. What this site collects
Appointment requests. Where the form is enabled, it collects your name, telephone number, email address if you give one, the service you are asking about, your preferred date, your vehicle's registration if you enter it, and any comment you write. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).
Indicative estimates. If you use the cost estimator, the text you write describing the fault is sent to an artificial-intelligence provider to suggest which services might be involved. Do not enter personal data in that field beyond what is needed to describe the problem.
Technical logs. The server keeps access logs, including the IP address, for security (GDPR art. 6.1.f).
3. What it is used for
To handle your request, to contact you, and to provide the service you ask for. It is not used to send you advertising unless you separately agree to that.
4. How long it is kept
Requests received through this site are kept for 24 months and then deleted. That period is carried out by the system on a schedule; it is not an intention.
IP addresses in the technical logs are cleared after 90 days.
If you become a customer, your vehicle and repair records are kept for the periods Spanish tax and warranty law require. Issued invoices cannot be deleted: they form an immutable chain required by the verifiable invoicing regime (VeriFactu, Royal Decree 1007/2023), and an error is corrected by issuing a corrective invoice.
5. Who else processes it
The data is not sold and is not shared for advertising. The providers TallerIQ uses to run the service are involved, each under a processing agreement:
Supabase — database and file storage. The data is held in the eu-west-1 region (Ireland), inside the European Union. Checked against the real project.
Netlify — site hosting and code execution. The server functions currently run in the United States, so there is an international transfer; see the next section.
Anthropic — the indicative estimator only, and only if you use it.
Stripe — the workshop's own subscription payments. Not involved in this site's data.
6. Transfers outside the European Union
The database is in Ireland. However, the code that produces these pages runs on Netlify servers located in the United States, and the estimator sends text to Anthropic, also in the United States.
Those transfers rely on the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR: standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You may ask for a copy of the safeguards that apply.
7. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you may object to processing. Contact the workshop through the details shown above.
If you believe your request has not been handled properly, you may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
